Dec 3 2008 - I heart style sheets
During the emerging years of the Internet in the 90’s I, like many others, dabbled in HTML. Using free website hosting services like geocities and angelfire to name a couple. Since then a lot has changed. The table is no longer king! Now it’s all about CSS. Yes, cascading style sheet, how I’ve learned to love them. There always seems to be new and simpler ways to do things that in the past where time consuming, bulky and involved writing more HTML. CSS is helping to turn the web into a decadent and buttery smooth feast for the user.
CSS can be tough though. Getting it to work cross browser can quickly become a royal “pita”. Trying to stay on top of what is and is becoming standards compliant doesn’t uncomplicated anything either. All in all though, I love it. I can’t think of too many things more invigorating than figuring out a new technique or creating something fresh and modern from the same content or even sitting back after all your hard work and headaches and thinking, wow this is cool.
So here’s a few great CSS sites I visit on the regular:

July 18 2008 – Pod people
If you’ve heard of pod casts you’ve probably heard Keith and the Girl. I’ve been listening on and off for about four years. They’re, vulgar, politically incorrect, offensive and funny. Regular guests of friends and listeners of the show who will delight, seduce and infuriate you to no end. It’s defiantly worth a listen.

June 22 2008 - A couple of neat sites
So, today I was trolling the web for cool stuff and found a great site -> Best Web Gallery.
It's a gallery of sites with new, innovative and cool CSS and Flash based designs. There's some really neat stuff on there, the kind that'll get your creative juices flowing. It did for me anyway.
Another great site I tend to check out on the regular is -> Wooster Collective.
I guess this site would be classified as a gallery as well. It's a neat showcasing of "street art" from around the world. With archives dating back to January 2003 you could kill hours and hours here filling your head with pictures, stories and videos. No matter what you think about "street art" there's probably something there you'll find interesting.
